9 He that is impatient, shall suffer damage: and when he shall take away he shall add another thing.


0 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile.


3 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular love his wife as himself: and let the wife fear her husband.


1 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife, and they shall be two in one flesh.


4 And the Lord will give a commandment concerning thee, that no more of thy name shall be sown: I will destroy the graven and molten thing out of the house of thy God, I will make it thy grave, for thou art disgraced.

5 And when Moses saw that the people were naked, (for Aaron had stripped them by occasion of the shame of the filth, and had set them naked among their enemies,)


2 And he answered him: Let not my lord be offended: for thou knowest this people, that they are prone to evil.


6 To the woman also he said: I will multiply thy sorrows, and thy conceptions: in sorrow shalt thou bring forth children, and thou shalt be under thy husband's power, and he shall have dominion over thee.


7 And the nobles, and the magistrates, and the judges, and the great men of the king being gathered together, considered these men, that the fire had no power on their bodies, and that not a hair of their head had been singed, nor their garments altered, nor the smell of the fire had passed on them.


6 And Mamuchan answered, in the hearing of the king and the princes: Queen Vasthi hath not only injured the king, but also all the people and princes that are in all the provinces of king Assuerus.


8 And by this example all the wives of the princes of the Persians and the Medes will slight the commandments of their husbands: wherefore the king's indignation is just.


And the king took the ring which he had commanded to be taken again from Aman, and gave it to Mardochai. And Esther set Mardochai over her house.
