3 And they answering, say to Jesus: We know not. And Jesus answering, saith to them: Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.


You are our epistle, written in our hearts, which is known and read by all men:


0 Proving what is well pleasing to God:


3 For there is no good tree that bringeth forth evil fruit; nor an evil tree that bringeth forth good fruit.


5 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth that which is evil. For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.


3 And now there remain faith, hope, and charity, these three: but the greatest of these is charity.


2 And as he entered into a certain town, there met him ten men that were lepers, who stood afar off;


0 But lay up to yourselves treasures in heaven: where neither the rust nor moth doth consume, and where thieves do not break through, nor steal.


6 Thou openest thy hand, and fillest with blessing every living creature.


1 I have not written to you as to them that know not the truth, but as to them that know it: and that no lie is of the truth.


8 If it be possible, as much as is in you, have peace with all men.


Again a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true both in him and in you; because the darkness is passed, and the true light now shineth.


6 To the one indeed the odour of death unto death: but to the others the odour of life unto life. And for these things who is so sufficient?


0 He must know that he who causeth a sinner to be converted from the error of his way, shall save his soul from death, and shall cover a multitude of sins.


5 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? Or what part hath the faithful with the unbeliever?


2 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he reach him a scorpion?


And it came to pass, that when they were there, her days were accomplished, that she should be delivered.


And thou hast adorned thyself for the king with ointment, and hast multiplied thy perfumes. Thou hast sent thy messengers far off, and wast debased even to hell.


9 Judgments are prepared for scorners: and striking hammers for the bodies of fools.


7 He that speaketh that which he knoweth, sheweth forth justice: but he that lieth, is a deceitful witness.


and looketh down on the low things in heaven and in earth?


This Booz, with whose maids thou wast joined in the field, is our near kinsman, and behold this night he winnoweth barley in the threshingfloor.


6 For we have not by following artificial fables, made known to you the power, and presence of our Lord Jesus Christ; but we were eyewitnesses of his greatness.


0 Who also honoured us with many honours, and when we were to set sail, they laded us with such things as were necessary.


6 That thy name may be magnified for ever, and it may be said: The Lord of hosts is God over Israel. And the house of thy servant David shall be established before the Lord.


8 Chastise thy son, despair not: but to the killing of him set not thy soul.


0 But Jeremias answered: They shall not deliver thee: hearken, I beseech thee, to the word of the Lord, which I speak to thee, and it shall be well with thee, and thy soul shall live.
