2 Merchandise of gold and silver, and precious stones; and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner of vessels of ivory, and all manner of vessels of precious stone, and of brass, and of iron, and of marble,


The Lord delayeth not his promise, as some imagine, but dealeth patiently for your sake, not willing that any should perish, but that all should return to penance.


2 Dearly beloved, think not strange the burning heat which is to try you, as if some new thing happened to you;


6 Be angry, and sin not. Let not the sun go down upon your anger.


Upon a high and lofty mountain thou hast laid thy bed, and hast gone up thither to offer victims.


1 The sound of dread is always in his ears: and when there is peace, he always suspecteth treason.
