All the things that concern me, Tychicus, our dearest brother, and faithful minister and fellow servant in the Lord, will make known to you,


5 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ also loved the church, and delivered himself up for it:


9 Revenge not yourselves, my dearly beloved; but give place unto wrath, for it is written: Revenge is mine, I will repay, saith the Lord


Lest at any time he seize upon my soul like a lion, while there is no one to redeem me, nor to save.


Now these things were done in a figure of us, that we should not covet evil things as they also coveted.


When the keepers of the house shall tremble, and the strong men shall stagger, and the grinders shall be idle in a small number, and they that look through the holes shall be darkened:


1 Thus saith the Lord of hosts the God of Israel, to Achab the son of Colias, and to Sedecias the son of Maasias, who prophesy unto you in my name falsely: Behold I will deliver them up into the hands of Nabuchodonosor the king of Babylon: and he shall kill them before your eyes.


Ask, and it shall be given you: seek, and you shall find: knock, and it shall be opened to you.


9 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.


Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed fornication, and there fell in one day three and twenty thousand.


2 And they said to him: Where is he? He saith: I know not.


2 And they said to the woman: We now believe, not for thy saying: for we ourselves have heard him, and know that this is indeed the Saviour of the world.


0 Remove anger from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh. For youth and pleasure are vain.


And it came to pass, when Sanaballat, and Tobias, and the Arabians, and the Ammonites, and the Azotians heard that the walls of Jerusalem were made up, and the breaches began to be closed, that they were exceedingly angry.


1 And our enemies said: Let them not know, nor understand, till we come in the midst of them, and kill them, and cause the work to cease.


Moreover four thousand were porters: and as many singers singing to the Lord with the instruments, which he had made to sing with.


9 The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house, with whom I also lodge.


7 Then I said to them: You know the affliction wherein we are, because Jerusalem is desolate, and the gates thereof are consumed with fire: come, and let us build up the walls of Jerusalem, and let us be no longer a reproach.


Three thousand talents of gold of the gold of Ophir: and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the temple.


And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron, saying:


6 The Madianites sold Joseph in Egypt to Putiphar, an eunuch of Pharao, captain of the soldiers.


2 And one answered another, saying: And who is their father? therefore it became a proverb: Is Saul also among the prophets?


8 They shall be as chaff before the face of the wind, and as ashes which the whirlwind scattereth.


8 For hell shall not confess to thee, neither shall death praise thee: nor shall they that go down into the pit, look for thy truth.


For thou hast said: My word is pure, and I am clean in thy sight.


And I wish that God would speak with thee, and would open his lips to thee,


5 The wise shall possess glory: the promotion of fools is disgrace.


5 Or, is it not lawful for me to do what I will? is thy eye evil, because I am good?


2 They asked him therefore: Who is that man who said to thee, Take up thy bed, and walk?
