But yet the people sacrificed in the high places: far there was no temple built to the name of the Lord until that day.


0 A man that is a heretic, after the first and second admonition, avoid:


8 Be not witness without cause against thy neighbour: and deceive not any man with thy lips.


9 Now the acts of king David first and last are written in the book of Samuel the seer, and in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the book of Gad the seer:


2 And David went, and took the bones of Saul, and the bones of Jonathan his son from the men of Jabes Galaad, who had stolen them from the street of Bethsan, where the Philistines had hanged them when they had slain Saul in Gelboe.


4 If a man borrow of his neighbour any of these things, and it be hurt or die, the owner not being present, he shall be obliged to make restitution.


1 So they smote that day the Philistines from Machmas to Ailon. And the people were wearied exceedingly.
