8 We have conceived, and been as it were in labour, and have brought forth wind: we have not wrought salvation on the earth, therefore the inhabitants of the earth have not fallen.


3 Wherefore hath the wicked provoked God? for he hath said in his heart: He will not require it.


9 Stand in the way, and look out, O habitation of Aroer: inquire of him that fleeth: and say to him that hath escaped: What Is done?


7 And they did so. And Aaron stretched forth his hand, holding the rod: and he struck the dust of the earth, and there came sciniphs on men and on beasts: all the dust of the earth was turned into sciniphs through all the land of Egypt.


9 I created the fruit of the lips, peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, said the Lord, and I healed him.


And it came to pass, that when Jeremias had made an end of speaking to the people all the words of the Lord their God, for which the Lord their God had sent him to them, all these words:


But if thou refuse, and withhold them still:


Said: If I have found grace in thy sight: O Lord, I beseech thee, that thou wilt go with us, (for it is a stiffnecked people,) and take away our iniquities and sin, and possess us.


0 If thou see him to be angry, and he shall say: Why did you approach so near to the wall to fight? knew you not that many darts are thrown from above off the wall?


Shall not Sion say: This man and that man is born in her? and the Highest himself hath founded her.


0 Whatsoever thy hand is able to do, do it earnestly: for neither work, nor reason, nor wisdom, nor knowledge shall be in hell, whither thou art hastening.


Is there any numbering of his soldiers? and upon whom shall not his light arise?


1 For he hath said in his heart: God hath forgotten, he hath turned away his face not to see to the end.
