9 Open ye to me the gates of justice: I will go into them, and give praise to the Lord.


Rise up thou to meet me, and behold: even thou, O Lord, the God of hosts, the God of Israel. Attend to visit all the nations: have no mercy on all them that work iniquity.


And I surpassed in riches all that were before me in Jerusalem: my wisdom also remained with me.


It were better for him, that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should scandalize one of these little ones.


3 And if you do good to them who do good to you, what thanks are to you? for sinners also do this.


And if they go into captivity before their enemies, there will I command the sword, and it shall kill them. And I will set my eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.


6 When the wicked are multiplied, crimes shall be multiplied: but the just shall see their downfall.
