Oppression troubleth the wise, and shall destroy the strength of his heart.


0 And falling on his knees, he cried with a loud voice, saying: Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep in the Lord. And Saul was consenting to his death.


He that sacrificeth an ox, is as if he slew a man: he that killeth a sheep in sacrifice, as if he should brain a dog: he that offereth an oblation, as if he should offer swine's blood; he that remembereth incense, as if he should bless an idol. All these things have they chosen in their ways, and their soul is delighted in their abominations.


6 And I said that wisdom is better than strength: how then is the wisdom of the poor man slighted, and his words not heard?


I turned myself to other things, and I saw the oppressions that are done under the sun, and the tears of the innocent, and they had no comforter; and they were not able to resist their violence, being destitute of help from any.


A time to weep, and a time to laugh. A time to mourn, and a time to dance.


3 O forgive me, that I may be refreshed, before I go hence, and be no more.


8 Arise, and go down to meet Achab king of Israel, who is in Samaria: behold he is going down to the vineyard of Naboth, to take possession of it:


0 And blessing the king, he went out.


0 And of justice: because I go to the Father; and you shall see me no longer.


0 In his net he will bring him down, he will crouch and fall, when he shall have power over the poor.
