The day that her husband shall hear it, and not gainsay it, she shall be bound to the vow, and shall give whatsoever she promised.


1 And whosoever will force thee one mile, go with him other two,


And I meditated in the night with my own heart: and I was exercised and I swept my spirit.


1 these things hast thou done, and I was silent. Thou thoughtest unjustly that I should be like to thee: but I will reprove thee, and set before thy face.


For his mercy is confirmed upon us: and the truth of the Lord remaineth for ever.


5 And the Holy Ghost also doth testify this to us. For after that he said:


And you shall know that I sent you this commandment, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the Lord of hosts.


And he caused it to be proclaimed and published in Ninive from the mouth of the king and of his princes, saying: Let neither men nor beasts, oxen nor sheep, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water.


13 I have hated the unjust: and have loved thy law.


So they gave him all the strange gods they had, and the earrings which were in their ears: and he buried them under the turpentine tree, that is behind the city of Sichem.


And Jacob having called together all his household, said: Cast away the strange gods that are among you, and be cleansed and change your garments.


So shall the king of the Assyrians lead away the prisoners of Egypt, and the captivity of Ethiopia, young and old. naked and barefoot, with their buttocks uncovered to the shame of Egypt.


1 And I shall return prosperously to my father's house: the Lord shall be my God:


0 That from year to year the daughters of Israel assemble together, and lament the daughter of Jephte the Galaadite for four days.
