9 For God indeed was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not imputing to them their sins; and he hath placed in us the word of reconciliation.

4 Then he saith: I will return into my house from whence I came out. And coming he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.


4 I write not these things to confound you; but I admonish you as my dearest children.

Before the silver cord be broken, and the golden fillet shrink back, and the pitcher be crushed at the fountain, and the wheel be broken upon the cistern,


And I praised the dead rather than the living:


Let them be all confounded that adore graven things, and that glory in their idols. Adore him, all you his angels:


that the praise of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment.


5 We have rejoiced for the days in which thou hast humbled us: for the years in which we have seen evils.


For behold I was conceived in iniquities; and in sins did my mother conceive me.
