8 It is good that thou shouldst hold up the just, yea and from him withdraw not thy hand: for he that feareth God, neglecteth nothing.


And when ye pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites, that love to stand and pray in the synagogues and corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men: Amen I say to you, they have received their reward.


The Lord hath made all things for himself: the wicked also for the evil day.


Thou wilt turn, O God, and bring us to life: and thy people shall rejoice in thee.


0 Hast thou seen a man hasty to speak? folly is rather to be looked for, than his amendment.


For the ear trieth words, and the mouth discerneth meats by the taste.


2 What needeth a man to seek things that are above him, whereas he knoweth not what is profitable for him in his life, in all the days of his pilgrimage, and the time that passeth like a shadow? Or who can tell him what shall be after him under the sun?


My heart is ready, O God, my heart is ready: I will Sing, and rehearse a psalm.


And Eliu continued his discourse, and said :


And whereas Ecclesiastes was very wise, he taught the people, and declared the things that he had done: and seeking out, he set forth many parables.
