Better are the wounds of a friend, than the deceitful kisses of an enemy.


And said: If it please the king, and if I have found favour in his sight, and my request be not disagreeable to him, I beseech thee, that the former letters of Aman the traitor and enemy of the Jews, by which he commanded that they should be destroyed in all the king's provinces, may be reversed by new letters.


1 In that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David, that is fallen: and I will close up the breaches of the walls thereof, and repair what was fallen: and I will rebuild it as in the days of old.


7 And I will cause you to go into captivity beyond Damascus, saith the Lord, the God of hosts is his name.


8 Brought him beds, and tapestry, and earthen vessels, and wheat, and barley, and meal, and parched corn, and beans, and lentils, and fried pulse,


0 And the trees said to the fig tree: Come thou and reign over us.


0 And Joab said to him: Thou shalt not be the messenger this day, but shalt bear tidings another day: this day I will not have thee bear tidings, because the king's son is dead.


For in your heart you work iniquity: your hands forge injustice in the earth.


3 He that walketh deceitfully, revealeth secrets: but he that is faithful, concealeth the thing committed to him by his friend.


6 Woe to thee, O land, when thy king is a child, and when the princes eat in the morning.
