2 When they were but a small number: yea very few, and sojourners therein:


1 When all Israel come together, to appear in the sight of the Lord thy God in the place which the Lord shall choose, thou shalt read the words of this law before all Israel, in their hearing,


8 the voice of thy thunder in a wheel. Thy lightnings enlightened the world: the earth shook and trembled.


4 And when the Lord had heard the voice of your words, he was angry and swore, and said:


8 And they tempted God in their hearts, by asking meat for their desires.


8 And depart not hence, till I return to thee, and bring a sacrifice, and offer it to thee. And he answered: I will wait thy coming.


1 For only Og king of Basan remained of the race of the giants. His bed of iron is shewn, which is in Rabbath of the children of Ammon, being nine cubits long, and four broad after the measure of the cubit of a man's hand.


What man is there, that hath planted a vineyard, and hath not as yet made it to be common, whereof all men may eat? let him go, and return to his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man execute his office.

6 And you would not go up, but being incredulous to the word of the Lord our God,


5 Not one of the men of this wicked generation shall see the good land, which I promised with an oath to your fathers:


0 And he commanded them, saying: After seven years, in the year of remission, in the feast of tabernacles,


Till they pursuing us be drawn farther from the city: for they will think that we flee as before.


9 Thy way is in the sea, and thy paths in many waters: and thy footsteps shall not be known.
