4 But certain men adhering to him, did believe; among whom was also Dionysius, the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them.


5 They shall cast thee out from among men, and thy dwelling shall be with cattle and with wild beasts, and thou shalt eat grass as an ox, and shalt be wet with the dew of heaven: and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth over the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.


The Lord is merciful and just, and our God sheweth mercy.


5 that they may shew, That the Lord our God is righteous, and there is no iniquity in him.


But thou shalt consider with thy eyes: and shalt see the reward of the wicked.


5 And to Heber were born two sons: the name of the one was Phaleg, because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother's name Jectan.


5 And Chanaan begot Sidon, his firstborn, the Hethite,


6 And he said: Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.


6 And this is the interpretation of the word. MANE: God hath numbered thy kingdom, and hath finished it.


2 And I will rise up against them, saith the Lord of hosts: and I will destroy the name of Babylon, and the remains, and the bud, and the offspring, saith the Lord.


For they have contrived with one consent: they have made a covenant together against thee,


1 these things hast thou done, and I was silent. Thou thoughtest unjustly that I should be like to thee: but I will reprove thee, and set before thy face.


Thou hast subjected all things under his feet, all sheep and oxen: moreover the beasts also of the fields.


1 He saw also the Cinite: and took up his parable, and said: Thy habitation in- deed is strong: but though thou build thy nest in a rock,


4 And when he had brought him to a high place, upon the top of mount Phasga, Balaam built seven altars, and laying on every one a calf and a ram,


And the Lord said to him: This is the land, for which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying: I will give it to thy seed. Thou hast seen it with thy eyes, and shalt not pass over to it.


Unto the end, corrupt not, a psalm of a canticle for Asaph. We will praise thee, O God: we will praise, and we will call upon thy name. We will relate thy wondrous works:


3 For he shall go up that shall open the way before them: they shall divide, and pass through the gate, and shall come in by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the Lord at the head of them.


By these were divided the islands of the Gentiles in their lands, every one according to his tongue and their families in their nations.


3 Sing ye to the Lord, all the earth: shew forth from day to day his salvation.


4 Tribulation shall terrify him, and distress shall surround him, as a king that is prepared for the battle.
