2 And he answered him: I lift up my hand to the Lord God the most high, the possessor of heaven and earth,


0 And I said: Alas, alas, alas, O Lord God, hast thou then deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying: You shall have peace: and behold the sword reacheth even to the soul?


0 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying


And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat on the throne.


And when he had opened the book, the four living creatures, and the four and twenty ancients fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints:


3 And Abimelech, and Phicol the general of his army arose and returned to the land of the Palestines. But Abraham planted a grove in Bersabee, and there called upon the name of the Lord God eternal.


6 And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying:


5 They have called the people happy, that hath these things: but happy is that people whose God is the Lord.


Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: and of his greatness there is no end.


Thus saith the Lord: Thus shalt thou say to him: Behold, them whom I have built, I do destroy: and them whom I have planted, I do pluck up, and all this land.


3 But the house of Israel provoked me in the desert: they walked not in my statutes, and they cast away my judgments, which if a man do he shall live in them: and they grievously violated my sabbaths. I said therefore that I would pour out my indignation upon them in the desert, and would consume them.


4 But I spared them for the sake of my name, lest it should be profaned before the nations, from which I brought them out, in their sight.


2 Cry, and howl, 0 son of man, for this sword is upon my people, it is upon all the princes of Israel, that are fled: they are delivered up to the sword with my people, strike therefore upon thy thigh,


3 Because it is tried: and that when it shall overthrow the sceptre, and it shall not be, saith the Lord God.


Now these are David's last words. David the son of Isai said: The man to whom it was appointed concerning the Christ of the God of Jacob, the excellent psalmist of Israel said:


The beginning of the Lord's speaking by Osse: and the Lord said to Osee: Go, take thee a wife of fornications, and have of her children of fornications: for the land by fornication shall depart from the Lord.
