0 Let not others by any curiosity see the things that are in the sanctuary before they be wrapped up, otherwise they shall die.


And do thou command the priests that carry the ark of the covenant, and say to them: When you shall have entered into part of the water of the Jordan, stand in it.

4 I will not visit upon your daughters when they shell commit fornication, and upon your spouses when they shall commit adultery: because themselves conversed with harlots, and offered sacrifice with the effeminate, and the people that doth not understand shall be beaten.


1 As I was yet speaking in prayer, behold the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, flying swiftly touched me at the time of the evening sacrifice.


Of the sons of Gersom, Joel the chief, and his brethren a hundred and thirty.


And whereas the staves stood out, the ends of them were seen without in the sanctuary before the oracle, but were not seen farther out, and there they have been unto this day.


7 And let this city be an anathema, and all things that are in it, to the Lord. Let only Rahab the harlot live, with all that are with her in the house: for she hid the messengers whom we sent.


Because I will invoke the name of the Lord: give ye magnificence to our God.


This shall be the priest's due from the people, and from them that offer victims: whether they sacrifice an ox, or a sheep, they shall give to the priest the shoulder and the breast:


Departing from thence they came over against Phihahiroth, which looketh towards Beelsephon, and they camped before Magdalum.


And taking the book of the covenant, he read it in the hearing of the people: and they said: All things that the Lord hath spoken we will do, we will be obedient.


0 And over all they shall put a cover of violet skins and put in the bars.


1 And they shall wrap up the golden altar also in a cloth of violet, and shall spread over it a cover of violet skins, and put in the bars.


3 And keep the commandments of the Lord, and his ceremonies, which I command thee this day, that it may be well with thee?


5 Of the tops of the ancient mountains, of the fruits of the everlasting hills:


Now Josue, and Bani, and Serebia, Jamin, Accub, Sephtai, Odia, Maasia, Celtia, Azarias, Jozabed, Hanan, Phalaia, the Levites, made silence among the people to hear the law: end the people stood in their place.


In the third year of Osee the son of Ela king of Israel, reigned m Ezechias the son of Achaz king of Juda.


And they read in the book of the law of God distinctly and plainly to be understood: and they understood when it was read.
