We were dragged by the necks, we were weary and no rest was given us.


0 Flee ye, get away speedily, sit in deep holes, you that inhabit Asur, saith the Lord: for Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon hath taken counsel against you, and hath conceived designs against you.


Against the children of Ammon. Thus saith the Lord: Hath Israel no sons? or hath he no heir? Why then hath Melchom inherited Gad: and his people dwelt in his cities ?


For they are gone up to Assyria, a wild ass alone by himself: Ephraim hath given gifts to his lovers.


1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:


0 And I will spread my net over him, and he shall be taken in my net: and I will bring him into Babylon, and will judge him there for the transgression by which he hath despised me.


0 But if any thing be revealed to another sitting, let the first hold his peace.


6 But of that day and hour no one knoweth, not the angels of heaven, but the Father alone.


And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw it not: but an exceeding great terror fell upon them, and they fled away, and hid themselves.


1 How long shall I see men fleeing away, how long shall I hear the sound of the trumpet?


Said to Moses: Take all the princes of the people, and hang them up on gibbets against the sun: that my fury may be turned away from Israel.


4 The spirit also lifted me, and took me up: and I went away in bitterness in the indignation of my spirit: for the hand of the Lord was with me, strengthening me.


Come ye, therefore, let us go down, and there may not understand one another's speech.


2 So I let them go according to the desires of their heart: they shall walk in their own inventions.


6 The rabbit, a weak people, which maketh its bed in the rock:


AND the Lord said to me: Take thee a great book, and write in it with a man's pen. Take sway the spoils with speed, quickly take the prey.


Their slain shall be cast forth, and out of their carcasses shall rise a slink: the mountains shall be melted with their blood.


The voice of one crying in the desert: Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the wilderness the paths of our God.


7 Therefore speak to them: Thus saith the Lord God: I will gather you from among the peoples, and assemble you out of the countries wherein you are scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.


2 And that the power of the other beasts was taken away: and that times of life were appointed them for a time, and time.
