8 Seek not revenge, nor be mindful of the injury of thy citizens. Thou shalt love thy friend as thyself. I am the Lord.


3 Is any of you sad? Let him pray. Is he cheerful in mind? Let him sing.


1 I spoke to thee in thy properity: and thoiu saidst: I will not hear: this hath been thy way from thy youth, because thou hast not heard my voice.


4 But shalt give him for his way out of thy flocks, and out of thy barnfloor, and thy winepress, wherewith the Lord thy God shall bless thee.


5 For he doth not now bring on his fury, neither doth he revenge wickedness exceedingly.


4 Let men of understanding speak to me, and let a wise man hearken to me.


7 And Jesus looking on them, saith: With men it is impossible; but not with God: for all things are possible with God.


6 So shall the last be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen.


5 And man shall be brought down, and man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be brought low.

The Lord is sweet and righteous: therefore he will give a law to sinners in the way.
