And I came to Jerusalem, and I understood the evil that Eliasib had done for Tobias, to make him a storehouse in the courts of the house of God.


That you may be mindful of those words which I told you before from the holy prophets, and of your apostles, of the precepts of the Lord and Saviour.


You know that after two days shall be the pasch, and the son of man shall be delivered up to be crucified:


And Jesus was clothed with filthy garments: and he stood before the face of the angel.


And he said: What have I sinned, that thou wouldst deliver me thy servant into the hand of Achab, that he should kill me?


6 They were a wall unto us both by night and day, all the while we were with them keeping the sheep.


2 He answered him: Call I speak any thing else but what the Lord commandeth?


2 And God was angry. And an angel of the Lord stood in the way against Balaam, who sat on the ass, and had two servants with him.


2 (And he saw a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hands upon him, that he might receive his sight.)


7 Why hast thou made us to err, O Lord, from thy ways: why hast thou hardened our heart, that we should not fear thee? return for the sake of thy servants, the tribes of thy inheritance.


0 But you, my beloved, building yourselves upon you most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,


4 Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him with a perfect and most sincere heart: and put away the gods which your fathers served in Mesopotamia and in Egypt, and serve the Lord.


If grapegatherers had come to thee, would they not have left a bunch? if thieves in the night, they would have taken what was enough for them.


And said: My God I am confounded and ashamed to lift up my face to thee: for our iniquities are multiplied over our heads, and our sins are grown up even unto heaven,


8 Sade. The Lord is just, for I have provoked his mouth to wrath: hear, I pray you, all ye people, and see my sorrow: my virgins, and my young men are gone into captivity.


7 And when they shall enter in at the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments: neither shall any woollen come upon them, when they minister in the gates of the inner court and within.
