3 And there appeared to him an angel from heaven, strengthening him. And being in an agony, he prayed the longer.


6 But they provoked thee to wrath, and departed from thee, and threw thy law behind their backs: and they killed thy prophets, who admonished them earnestly to return to thee : and they were guilty of great blasphemies.


0 You all stand this day before the Lord your God, your princes, and tribes, and ancients, and doctors, all the people of Israel,


4 But I have put my trust in thee, O Lord: I said: Thou art my God.


5 And therefore I am troubled at his presence, and when I consider him I am made pensive with fear.


A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand: but it shall not come nigh thee.


2 And Isaac sowed in that land, and he found that same year a hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him.


5 And the Lord hath blessed my master wonderfully, and he is become great: and he hath given him sheep and oxen, silver and gold, menservants and womenservants, camels and asses.


And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and magnify thy name, and thou shalt be blessed.


Neither knew he any other thing, but the bread which he ate. And Joseph was of a beautiful countenance, and comely to behold.


5 If he called them gods, to whom to word of God was spoken, and the scripture cannot be broken;


The Lord hath said to me: Thou art my son, this day have I begotten thee.


8 Appoint thy wages which I shall give thee.


8 But Josue .the son of Nun. and Caleb the son of Jephone lived, of all them that had gone to view the land.


9 And Moses spoke all these words to all the children of Israel, and the people mourned exceedingly.


8 We will not return into our houses until the children of Israel possess their inheritance:


4 Who, when they had set forward and had gone up to the mountains, came as far as the valley of the cluster: and having viewed the land,


Take ye then good heed that you stir not against them. For I will not give you of their land so much as the step of one foot can tread upon, because I have given mount Seir to Esau, for a possession.

9 And when thou comest nigh the frontiers of the children of Ammon, take heed thou fight not against them, nor once move to battle: for I will not give thee of the land of the children of Ammon, because I have given it to the children of Lot for a possession.

You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore will I visit upon you all your iniquities.


And Joseph found favour in the sight of his master, and ministered to him: and being set over all by him, he governed the house committed to him, and all things that were delivered to him:


And they chode with Moses, and said: Give us water, that we may drink. And Moses answered them: Why chide you with me? Wherefore do you tempt the Lord?

7 For I am ready to honour thee, and will give thee whatsoever thou wilt: come and curse this people.


Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and fulfil them: that you may understand all that you do.
