0 If thou go out to fight against thy enemies, and the Lord thy God deliver them into thy hand, and thou lead them away captives,


0 Neither let there be found among you any one that shall expiate his son or daughter, making them to pass through the fire: or that consulteth soothsayers, or observeth dreams and omens, neither let there be any wizard,


0 Let not others by any curiosity see the things that are in the sanctuary before they be wrapped up, otherwise they shall die.


1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying :


4 If I had not done among them the works that no other man hath done, they would not have sin; but now they have both seen and hated both me and my Father.


Both the great and the little shall die in the land: they shall not be buried nor lamented, and men shall not cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them.


Which when it was noised abroad in the ears of the people, the children of Israel offered in abundance the firstfruits of corn, wine, and oil, and honey: and brought the tithe of all things which the ground bringeth forth.


And when David had made an end of offering holocausts, and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord.


And Moses said to Aaron: This is what the Lord hath spoken: I will be sanctified in them that approach to me, and I will be glorified in the sight of all the people. And when Aaron heard this, he held his peace.


4 And they glorified God in me.


For although I made you sorrowful by my epistle, I do not repent; and if I did repent, seeing that the same epistle (although but for a time) did make you sorrowful;


5 Rejoice with them that rejoice; weep with them that weep.


For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make a commemoration of you;


0 Said: O full of all guile, and of all deceit, child of the devil, enemy of all justice, thou ceasest not to pervert the right ways of the Lord.


3 And they shall teach my people the difference between holy and profane, and shew them how to discern between clean and unclean.


9 And when they shall go forth to the outward court to the people, they shall put off their garments wherein they ministered, and lay them up in the store chamber of the sanctuary, and they shall clothe themselves with other garments: and they shall not sanctify the people with their vestments.


He sent forth signs and wonders in the midst of thee, O Egypt: upon Pharao, and upon all his servants.


Whatsoever the Lord hath pleased he hath done, in heaven, in earth, in the sea, and in all the deeps.


6 And the priests went into the temple of the Lord to sanctify it, and brought out all the uncleanness that they found within to the entrance of the house of the Lord, and the Levites took it away, and carried it out abroad to the torrent Cedron.


1 As well in the oblation of the holocausts of the Lord, as in the sabbaths and in the new moons, and the rest of the solemnities, according to the number and ceremonies prescribed for every thing, continually before the Lord.


1 And the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of the Lord.


7 He shall not have many wives, that may allure his mind, nor immense sums of silver and gold.


6 Under their custody shall be the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars, and the pillars and their sockets, and all things that pertain to this kind of service:


4 He offered also the calf for sin: and when Aaron and his sons had put their hands upon the head thereof,


4 And the Lord said to Moses: Behold the days of thy death are nigh: call Josue, and stand ye in the tabernacle of the testimony, that I may give him a charge. So Moses and Josue went and stood in the tabernacle of the testimony:


Of the sons of Gersom, Joel the chief, and his brethren a hundred and thirty.


For I have known that the Lord is great, and our God is above all gods.


Be merciful to thy people Israel, whom thou hast redeemed, O Lord, and lay not innocent blood to their charge, in the midst of thy people Israel. And the guilt of blood shall be taken from them:


8 The sons of Isaar: Salomith the first.
