0 And when the Lord thy God shall have brought thee into the land, for which he swore to thy fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: and shall have given thee great and goodly cities, which thou didst not build,


6 For thou hast kept the statutes of Amri, and all the works of the house of Achab: and thou hast walked according to their wills, that I should make thee a desolation, and the inhabitants thereof a hissing, and you shall bear the reproach of my people.


5 And the next day he took out two pence, and gave to the host, and said: Take care of him; and whatsoever thou shalt spend over and above, I, at my return, will repay thee.


Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with thy whole heart, and with thy whole soul, and with thy whole strength.


8 Lay up these my words in your hearts and minds, and hang them for a sign on your hands, and place them between your eyes.


5 If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?


7 The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty, he will save: he will rejoice over thee with gladness, he will be silent in his love, he will be joyful over thee in praise.


6 But the countenance of the Lord is against them that do evil things: to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.


4 If God ever did so as to go, and take to himself a nation out of the midst of nations by temptations, signs, and wonders, by fight, and a strong hand, and stretched out arm, and horrible visions according to all the things that the Lord your God did for you in Egypt, before thy eyes.


Jesus Christ, yesterday, and to day; and the same for ever.


Thou, therefore, O son of man, prepare thee all necessaries for removing, and remove by day in their sight: and thou shalt remove out of thy place to another place in their sight, if so be they will regard it: for they are a provoking house.


who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all things that are in them.


Often have they fought against me from my youth: but they could not prevail over me.


Rescue the poor; and deliver the needy out of the hand of the sinner.


0 And when they were come to the banks of the Jordan, in the land of Chanaan, they built an altar immensely great near the Jordan.


Therefore when the Lord shall have delivered these also to you, you shall do in like manner to them as I have commanded you,


And Moses went, and spoke all these words to all Israel,


4 And this is the confidence which we have towards him: That, whatsoever we shall ask according to his will, he heareth us.


4 As for you, let that which you have heard from the beginning, abide in you. If that abide in you, which you have heard from the beginning, you also shall abide in the Son, and in the Father.


6 (As it is written: For thy sake we are put to death all the day long. We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.)


0 That the blood of all the prophets which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation,


7 Thy cause hath been judged as that of the wicked, cause and judgment thou shalt recover.


8 And do that which is pleasing and good in the sight of the Lord, that it may be well with thee: and going in thou mayst possess the goodly land, concerning which the Lord swore to thy fathers,


9 And Peter rising up, went with them. And when he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber. And all the widows stood about him weeping, and shewing him the coats and garments which Dorcas made them.


7 For the justice of God is revealed therein, from faith unto faith, as it is written: The just man liveth by faith.


There went up a smoke in his wrath: and a fire flamed from his face: coals were kindled by it.


4 Now the grace of our Lord hath abounded exceedingly with faith and love, which is in Christ Jesus.


8 Sending out hornets before, that shall drive away the Hevite, and the Chanaanite, and the Hethite, before thou come in.


And thou shalt tell them to thy children, and thou shalt meditate upon them sitting in thy house, and walking on thy journey, sleeping and rising.


For she will turn away thy son from following me, that he may rather serve strange gods, and the wrath of the Lord will be kindled, and will quickly destroy thee.


6 Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and stiffen your neck no more.


8 He doth judgment to the fatherless and the widow, loveth the stranger, and giveth him food and raiment.


And to Dathan and Abiron the sons of Eliab, who was the son of Ruben: whom the earth, opening her mouth swallowed up with their households and tents, and all their substance, which they had in the midst of Israel.


9 And Josue said to the people: You will not be able to serve the Lord: for he is a holy God, and mighty and jealous, and will not forgive your wickedness and sins.


And thy servant is in the midst of the people which thou hast chosen, an immense people, which cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude.


By what doth a young man correct his way? by observing thy words.


Shew me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest, where thou liest in the midday, lest I begin to wander after the flocks of thy companions.


These are the precepts, and ceremonies, and judgments, which the Lord your God commanded that I should teach you, and that you should do them in the land into which you pass over to possess it:


And when you are passed over the Jordan into the land which the Lord thy God will give thee, thou shalt set up great stones, and shalt plaster them over with plaster,


5 Cursed be the man that maketh a graven and molten thing, the abomination of the Lord, the work of the hands of artificers, and shall put it in a secret place: and all the people shall answer and say: Amen.


5 But if you will still do wickedly: both you and your king shall perish together.


6 And the time that Jehu reigned over Israel, in Samaria, was eight and twenty years.


He smote the Philistines as far as Gaza, and all their borders, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city.


1 And the king of the Assyrians carried away Israel into Assyria, and placed them in Hale, and in Habor by the rivers of Gozan in the cities of the Medes:


4 Gold by weight for every vessel for the ministry. And silver by weight ac- cording to the diversity of the vessels and uses.


7 But high places were left in Israel: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect all his days.


They have not known nor understood: they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth shall be moved.
