8 6 O Lord, against all thy justice: let thy wrath and thy indignation be turned away, I beseech thee, from thy city Jerusalem, and from thy holy mountain. For by reason of our sins, and the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem, and thy people are a reproach to all that are round about us.

0 Ain. Till the Lord regarded and looked down from the heavens.


Daleth. He hath bent his bow as an enemy, he hath fixed his right hand as an adversary: and he hath killed all that was fair to behold in the tabernacle of the daughter of Sion, he hath poured out his indignation like fire.


Thou hast forsaken me, saith the Lord, thou art gone backward: and I will stretch out my hand against thee, and I will destroy thee: I am weary of entreating thee.


On the fifth day of the month, the same was the fifth year of the captivity of king Joachin,


0 And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, and will not cease to do them good: and I will give my fear in their heart, that they may not revolt from me.


It was planted in a good ground upon many waters, that it might bring forth branches, and bear fruit, that it might become a large vine.


7 Now therefore, O our God, hear the supplication of thy servant, and his prayers: and shew thy face upon thy sanctuary which is desolate, for thy own sake.


0 And he did evil in the sight, of the Lord, as Manasses his father had done.


2 O Lord God, turn not away the face of thy anointed: remember the mercies of David thy servant.


1 I beseech thee, O Lord, let thy ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants who desire to fear thy name: and direct thy servant this day, and give him mercy before this man. For I was the king's cupbearer.


2 Wilt thou refrain thyself, O Lord, upon these things, wilt thou hold thy peace, and afflict us vehemently?


7 And thou shalt speak to them all these words, but they will not hearken to thee: and thou shalt call them, but they will not answer thee.


4 And I will make thee desolate, and a reproach among the nations that are round about thee, in the sight of every one that passeth by.
