He is come up that shall destroy before thy face, that shall keep the siege: watch the way, fortify thy loins, strengthen thy power exceedingly.


Fear not, for thou shalt not be confounded, nor blush: for thou shalt not be put to shame, because thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt remember no more the reproach of thy widowhood.


0 And unto all nations the gospel must first be preached.


And in fine, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, being lovers of the brotherhood, merciful, modest, humble:


4 Saying: The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.


0 And they brought him. And when he had seen him, immediately the spirit troubled him; and being thrown down upon the ground, he rolled about foaming.


0 And then shall many be scandalized: and shall betray one another: and shall hate one another.


Who shall render account to him, who is ready to judge the living and the dead.


2 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise, by the faith of Jesus Christ, might be given to them that believe.


As dying, and behold we live; as chastised, and not killed;


8 And he shall turn his face to the islands, and shall take many: and he shall cause the prince of his reproach to cease, and his reproach shall be turned upon him.


And I being left alone saw this great vision: and there remained no strength in me, and the appearance of my countenance was changed in me, and I fainted away, and retained no strength.


5 And very many of them shall stumble and fall, and shall be broken in pieces, and shall be snared, and taken.


For after this manner heretofore the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands:


If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask whatever you will, and it shall be done unto you.

2 Amen, I say to you, this generation shall not pass away, till all things be fulfilled.


5 And let him that is on the housetop, not go down into the house, nor enter therein to take any thing out of the house:

Though they go down even to hell, thence shall my hand bring them out: and though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down.


Wherefore behold I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and I will stop it up with a wall, and she shall not find her paths.


5 Why are thy valiant men come to nothing? they stood not: because the Lord hath overthrown them.


2 I will declare thy name to my brethren: in the midst of the church will I praise thee.


4 Lay it up therefore into your hearts, not to meditate before how you shall answer:


For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be pestilences, and famines, and earthquakes in places:


5 And his strength and his heart shall be stirred up against the king of the south with a great army: and the king of the south shall be stirred up to battle with many and very strong succours: and they shall not stand, for they shall form designs against him.


0 You that have escaped the sword, come away, stand not still: remember the Lord afar off, and let Jerusalem come into your mind.


0 And the galleys and the Romans shall come upon him, and he shall be struck, and shall return, and shall have indignation against the covenant of the sanctuary, and he shall succeed: and he shall return and shall devise against them that have forsaken the covenant of the sanctuary.


0 And Respha the daughter of Aia took haircloth, and spread it under her upon the rock from the beginning of the harvest, till water dropped upon them out of heaven: and suffered neither the birds to tear them by day, nor the beasts by night.


0 For command, command again; command, command again; expect, expect again; expect, expect again: a little there, a little there.


WOE to Ariel, to Ariel the city which David took: year is added to year: the solemnities are at an end.


4 And tidings out of the east, and out of the north shall trouble him: and he shall come with a great multitude to destroy and slay many.
