17 5 Know thou therefore, and take notice: that from the going forth of the word, to build up Jerusalem again, unto Christ the prince, there shall be seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks: and the street shall be built again, and the walls in straitness of times.

Thou calledst upon me in affliction, and I delivered thee: I heard thee in the secret place of tempest: I proved thee at the waters of contradiction.


And I saw, and behold a whirlwind came out of the north: and a great cloud, and a fire infolding it, and brightness was about it: and out of the midst thereof, that is, out of the midst of the fire, as it were the resemblance of amber:


And if any one have caused grief, he hath not grieved me; but in part, that I may not burden you all.


4 Turn again, O God of hosts, look down from heaven, and see, and visit this vineyard:


0 The shadow of it covered the hills: and the branches thereof the cedars of God.


And night shall be no more: and they shall not need the light of the lamp, nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God shall enlighten them, and they shall reign for ever and ever.


2 Behold, the hour cometh, and it is now come, that you shall be scattered every man to his own, and shall leave me alone; and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.


7 And he shall confirm the covenant with many, in one week: and in the half of the week the victim and the sacrifice shall fall: and there shall be in the temple the abomination of desolation: and ihe desolation shall continue even to the consummation, and to the end.


42 Thy justice is justice for ever: and thy law is the truth.


Thou hast brought a vineyard out of Egypt: thou hast cast cut the Gentiles and planted it.


Unto the end, a psalm of a canticle for David himself. Let God arise, and let his enemies be scattered: and let them that hate him flee from before his face.


Neither shall the wicked dwell near thee: nor shall the unjust abide before thy eyes.


1 I beseech thee, O Lord, let thy ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants who desire to fear thy name: and direct thy servant this day, and give him mercy before this man. For I was the king's cupbearer.


9 And thy seed had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy bowels like the gravel thereof: his name should not have perished, nor have been destroyed from before my face.


3 If thy people Israel shall fly before their enemies, (because they will sin against thee,) and doing penance, and confessing to thy name, shall come, and pray, and make supplications to thee in this house:


As smoke vanisheth, so let them vanish away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.


0 How long, O God, shall the enemy reproach: is the adversary to provoke thy name for ever?


1 It stretched forth its branches unto the sea, and its boughs unto the river.


4 Thau. Thou shalt render them a recompense, O Lord, according to the works of their hands.
