0 You are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that you may know, and believe me, and understand that I myself am. Before me there was no God formed, and after me there shall be none.


For think diligently upon him that endured such opposition from sinners against himself; that you be not wearied, fainting in your minds.


2 And the soldiers' counsel was, that they should kill the prisoners, lest any of them, swimming out, should escape.


8 And he that taketh not up his cross, and followeth me, is not worthy of me.


9 Thy dead men shall live, my slain shall rise again: awake, and give praise, ye that dwell in the dust: for thy dew is the dew of the light: and the land of the giants thou shalt pull down into ruin.


For the lawgiver shall give a blessing, they shall go from virtue to virtue: the God of gods shall be seen in Sion.


4 I have cut down, and I have drunk strange waters, and have dried up with the soles of my feet all the shut up waters.


9 By me therefore this decree is made, that every people, tribe, and tongue, which shall speak blasphemy against the God of Sidrach, Misach, and Abdenago, shall be destroyed, and their houses laid waste: for there is no other God that can save in this manner.
