I will go before thee, and will humble the great ones of the earth: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and will burst the bars of iron.


One shall say: I am the Lord's, and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob, and another shall subscribe with his hand, To the Lord, and surname himself by the name of Israel.


Which is a parable of the time present: according to which gifts and sacrifices are offered, which can not, as to the conscience, make him perfect that serveth, only in meats and in drinks,


7 Who needeth not daily (as the other priests) to offer sacrifices first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, in offering himself.


For which things the wrath of God cometh upon the children of unbelief,


And in fine, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, being lovers of the brotherhood, merciful, modest, humble:


AND as they were speaking to the people, the priests, and the officer of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,


CRY, cease not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their wicked doings, and the house of Jacob their sins.


To my hearing thou shalt give joy and gladness: and the bones that have been humbled shall rejoice.


8 But if she be not defiled, she shall not be hurt, and shall bear children.


6 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God and our Father, who hathloved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation, and good hope in grace,


6 For if thou hadst desired sacrifice, I would indeed have given it: with burnt offerings thou wilt not be delighted.


And he came lamenting in this manner even to the gate of the palace: for no one clothed with sackcloth might enter the king's court.


0 And Juda said: The strength of the bearer of burdens is decayed, and the rubbish is very much, and we shall not be able to build the wall.


4 And thou shalt have joy and gladness, and many shall rejoice in his nativity.


3 And this was the content of the letter, that it should be notified in all lands and peoples that were subject to the empire of king Assuerus, that the Jews were ready to be revenged of their enemies.
