13 Seek him that maketh Arcturus, and Orion, and that turneth darkness into morning, and that changeth day into night: that calleth the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The Lord is his name.

6 Therefore thus saith the Lord the God of hosts the sovereign Lord: In every street there shall be wailing: and in all places that are without, they shall say: Alas, alas! and they shall call the husbandman to mourning, and such as are skilful in lamentation to lament.


1 And pass away, O thou that dwellest in the Beautiful place, covered with thy shame: she went not forth that dwelleth in the confines: the House adjoining shall receive mourning from you, which stood by herself.


4 And I will bring back the captivity of my people Israel: and they shall build the abandoned cities, and inhabit them: and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine of them: and shall make gardens, and eat the fruits of them.


2 Stand now with thy enchanters, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, in which thou hast laboured from thy youth, if so be it may profit thee any thing, or if thou mayst become stronger.


6 This is the dream: we will also tell the interpretation thereof before thee, O king.


4 And I will scatter them as stubble, which is carried away by the wind in the desert.


3 The rams of the flock are clothed, and the vales shall abound with corn: they shall shout, yea they shall sing a hymn.


And Moses the servant of the Lord died there, in the land of Moab, by the commandment of the Lord:


And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.


And though they be hid in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them away from thence : and though they hide themselves from my eyes in the depth of the sea, there will I command the serpent and he shall bite them.


7 Set ye up a standard in the land: sound with the trumpet among the nations: prepare the nations against her: call together against her the kings of Ararat, Menni, and Ascenez: number Taphsar against her, bring the horse as the stinging locust.


4 Correct me, O Lord, but yet with judgement: and not in fury, lest thou bring me to nothing.


0 He hath chosen strong wood, and that will not rot: the skilful workman seeketh how he may set up an idol that may not be moved.


8 Thou hast forsaken the God that beget thee, and hast forgotten the Lord that created thee.


3 And the Egyptians pursuing went in after them, and all Pharao's horses, his chariots and horsemen through the midst of the sea,


5 Moses said: Thou shalt give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings, to the Lord our God.


6 For God so loved the world, as to give his only begotten Son; that whosoever believeth in him, may not perish, but may have life everlasting.


And it shall come to pass in the day of the victim of the Lord, that I will visit upon the princes, and upon the king's sons, and upon all such as are clothed with strange apparel.


And it came to pass, that when they had made an end of eating the grass of the land, I said: O Lord God, be merciful, I beseech thee: who shall raise up Jacob, for he is very little?


The Lord God hath sworn by his own soul, saith the Lord the God of hosts: I detest the pride of Jacob, and I hate his houses, and I will deliver up the city with the inhabitants thereof.


Whereupon I also have given you dulness of teeth in all your cities, and want of bread in all your places: yet you have not returned to me, saith the Lord.


4 And I will render to Babylon, and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea all their evil, that they have done in Sion, before your eyes, saith the Lord.


1 Because the pastors have done foolishly, and have not sought the Lord: therefore have they not understood, and all their flock is scattered.


0 Behold I have refined thee, but not as silver, I have chosen thee in the furnace of poverty.


And I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: Whom shall I send? and who shall go for us? And I said: Lo, here am I, send me.


praise the name of the Lord. For he spoke, and they were made: he commanded, and they were created.


If I take my wings early in the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea:


4 For the Lord will judge his people, and will be entreated in favour of his servants.


The Spirit breatheth where he will; and thou hearest his voice, but thou knowest not whence he cometh, and whither he goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.


2 But Jesus hearing it, said: They that are in health need not a physician, but they that are ill.


8 And all places wherein the children of men, and the beasts of the field do dwell: he hath also given the birds of the air into thy hand, and hath put all things under thy power: thou therefore art the head of gold.


0 At their presence the earth hath trembled, the heavens are moved: the sun and moon are darkened, and the stars have withdrawn their shining.


2 If he examine on a sudden, who shall answer him? or who can say: Why dost thou so?


5 Verily thou art a hidden God, the God of Israel the saviour.


6 And I will deliver them into the hand of them that seek their lives, into the hand of Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon, and into the hand of his servants: and afterwards it shall be inhabited, as in the days of old, saith the Lord.


4 Ephraim hath provoked me to wrath with his bitterness, and his blood shall come upon him, and his Lord will render his reproach unto him.
