4 As he spoke these things, and made his answer, Festus said with a loud voice: Paul, thou art beside thyself: much learning doth make thee mad.


1 For all seek the things that are their own; not the things that are Jesus Christ's.


What then? That which Israel sought, he hath not obtained: but the election hath obtained it; and the rest have been blinded.


1 For the scripture saith: Whosoever believeth in him, shall not be confounded.


7 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.


For he that is dead is justified from sin.

0 And Cornelius said: Four days ago, unto this hour, I was praying in my house, at the ninth hour, and behold a man stood before me in white apparel, and said:


4 But Peter said: Far be it from me; for I never did eat any thing that is common and unclean.


5 Their possessions and goods they sold, and divided them to all, according as every one had need.


8 And many other things exhorting, did he preach to the people.


And when evening was come, the lord of the vineyard saith to his steward: Call the labourers and pay them their hire, beginning from the last even to the first.


And them that worship the host of heaven upon the tops of houses, and them that adore, and swear by the Lord, and swear by Melchom.


0 Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all you that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all you that mourn for her.


Is this such a fast as I have chosen: for a man to afflict his soul for a day? is this it, to wind his head about like a circle, and to spread sackcloth and ashes? wilt thou call this a fast, and a day acceptable to the Lord?


9 According to the multitude of my sorrows in my heart, thy comforts have given joy to my soul.


9 Consider my enemies for they are multiplied, and have hated me with an unjust hatred.


0 And Saul swore unto her by the Lord, saying: As the Lord liveth there shall no evil happen to thee for this thing.

And take unto thee an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between thee and the city: and set thy face resolutely against it, and it shall be besieged, and thou shalt lay siege against it: it is a sign to the house of Israel.


3 But Ananias answered: Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints in Jerusalem.
