I SAY then: Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.


1 And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ hath died ?


And you have respect to him that is clothed with the fine apparel, and shall say to him: Sit thou here well; but say to the poor man: Stand thou there, or sit under my footstool:


9 You know, my dearest brethren. And let every man be swift to hear, but slow to speak, and slow to anger.


For I am not conscious to myself of any thing, yet am I not hereby justified; but he that judgeth me, is the Lord.


3 And Jesus looking round about, saith to his disciples: How hardly shall they that have riches, enter into the kingdom of God!


Lo thou trustest upon this broken staff of a reed, upon Egypt: upon which if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Pharao king or Egypt to all that trust in him.

So he went with them. And when they were come to the Jordan they cut down wood.


4 Then he went down, and washed in the Jordan seven times: according to the word of the man of God, and his flesh was restored, like the flesh of a little child, and he was made clean.


8 And he commanded the chariot to stand still; and they went down into the water, both Philip and the eunuch: and he baptized him.


0 But Philip was found in Azotus; and passing through, he preached the gospel to all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.
