9 And the Spirit said to Philip: Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.


8 But those things which God before had shewed by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.


3 Thy eyes are too pure to behold evil, and thou canst not look on iniquity. Why lookest thou upon them that do unjust things, and holdest thy peace when the wicked devoureth the man that is more just than himself?


4 But John stayed him, saying: I ought to be baptized by thee, and comest thou to me?
