And they had no son, for that Elizabeth was barren, and they both were well advanced in years.


2 And as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed: but thou art the selfsame, and thy years shall not fail.


5 For all things are for your sakes; that the grace abounding through many, may abound in thanksgiving unto the glory of God.


And said to him: Go forth out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall shew thee.


THEN the high priest said: Are these things so?


3 And they set up false witnesses, who said: This man ceaseth not to speak words against the holy place and the law.


0 For this is the testament which I will make to the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord: I will give my laws into their mind, and in their heart will I write them: and I will be their God, and they shall be my people:


2 And they were all astonished, and wondered, saying one to another: What meaneth this?


9 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father who sent me, he gave me commandment what I should say, and what I should speak.


He shall drink of the torrent in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.


1 Then they suborned men to say, they had heard him speak words of blasphemy against Moses and against God.


And every man shall sit under his vine, and under his fig tree, and there shall be none to make them afraid: for the mouth of the Lord of hosts hath spoken.


In their sight thou shalt be carried out upon men's shoulders, thou shalt be carried out in the dark: thou shalt cover thy face, and shalt not see the ground: for I have set thee for a sign of things to come to the house of Israel.


2 And their whole body, and their necks, and their hands, and their wings, and the circles were full of eyes, round about the four wheels.


0 The fifth, sardonyx: the sixth, sardius: the seventh, chrysolite: the eighth, beryl: the ninth, a topaz: the tenth, a chrysoprasus: the eleventh, a jacinth: the twelfth, an amethyst.


And spared not the original world, but preserved Noe, the eighth person, the preacher of justice, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly.


6 Saying: What shall we do to these men? for indeed a known miracle hath been done by them, to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem: it is manifest, and we cannot deny it.

Therefore prophesy against them, prophesy, thou son of man.


And thou shalt sleep upon thy left side, and shalt lay the iniquities of the house of Israel upon it, according to the number of the days that thou shalt sleep upon it, and thou shalt take upon thee their iniquity.


9 But one of them, named Caiphas, being the high priest that year, said to them: You know nothing.
