5 It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the goodman of the house Beelzebub, how much more them of his household?


3 And through a window in a basket was I let down by the wall, and so escaped his hands.


6 For before these days rose up Theodas, affirming himself to be somebody, to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all that believed him were scattered, and brought to nothing.


7 And woe to them that are with child, and that give suck in those days.


7 He that speaketh that which he knoweth, sheweth forth justice: but he that lieth, is a deceitful witness.


8 Whosoever shall fall upon that stone, shall be bruised: and upon whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.


And when he was sitting on mount Olivet, the disciples came to him privately, saying: Tell us when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the consummation of the world?


And I said: Hear, O ye princes of Jacob, and ye chiefs of the house of Israel: Is it not your part to know judgment,


Will a lion roar in the forest, if he have no prey? will the lion's whelp cry out of his den, if he have taken nothing ?


8 Therefore the Lord waiteth that be may have mercy on you: and therefore shall he be exalted sparing you: because the Lord is the God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.


7 And he that will be first among you, shall be your servant.
