1 But the centurion believed the pilot and the master of the ship, more than those things which were said by Paul.


But Festus answered: That Paul was kept in Caesarea, and that he himself would very shortly depart thither.


And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication, and lived in delicacies with her, shall weep, and bewail themselves over her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning:


8 And the woman which thou sawest, is the great city, which hath kingdom over the kings of the earth.


Now in these places were possessions of the chief man of the island, named Publius, who receiving us, for three days entertained us courteously.


9 And when it was day, they knew not the land; but they discovered a certain creek that had a shore, into which they minded, if they could, to thrust in the ship.


9 And the tribune taking him by the hand, went aside with him privately, and asked him: What is it that thou hast to tell me?


9 And the whole city was filled with confusion; and having caught Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul's companions, they rushed with one accord into the theatre.


0 Because I am with thee: and no man shall set upon thee, to hurt thee; for I have much people in this city.


8 And upon my servants indeed, and upon my handmaids will I pour out in those days of my spirit, and they shall prophesy.


0 Behold I dwell in Masphath, that I may answer the commandment of the Chaldeans that are sent to us: but as for you, gather ye the vintage, and the harvest, and the oil, and lay it up in your vessels, and abide in your cities which you hold.


3 And the pillars of brass that were in the temple of the Lord, and the bases, and the sea of brass which was in the house of the Lord, the Chaldees broke in pieces, and carried all the brass of them to Babylon.


At that time Juda went down from his brethren, and turned in to a certain Odollamite, named Hiras.
