2 Which when we had heard, both we and they that were of that place, desired him that he would not go up to Jerusalem.


4 And when he had met with us at Assos, we took him in, and came to Mitylene.


But when some were hardened, and believed not, speaking evil of the way of the Lord, before the multitude, departing from them, he separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.


For yet a while, and after seven days, I will rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and I will destroy every substance that I have made, from the face of the earth.


They therefore who were come together, asked him, saying: Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?


9 But when they shall deliver you up, take no thought how or what to speak: for it shall be given you in that hour what to speak.


0 Their heart is curdled like milk: but I have meditated on thy law.


3 And they appointed two, Joseph, called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.


1 Then they suborned men to say, they had heard him speak words of blasphemy against Moses and against God.


8 And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppe, the disciples hearing that Peter was there, sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not be slack to come unto them.


1 But they said to him: We neither received letters concerning thee from Judea, neither did any of the brethren that came hither, relate or speak any evil of thee.


3 And when they had appointed him a day, there came very many to him unto his lodgings; to whom he expounded, testifying the kingdom of God, and persuading them concerning Jesus, out of the law of Moses and the prophets, from morning until evening.


9 And when he had said these things, the Jews went out from him, having much reasoning among themselves.


1 Because that, when they knew God, they have not glorified him as God, or given thanks; but became vain in their thoughts, and their foolish heart was darkened.
