8 And he that taketh not up his cross, and followeth me, is not worthy of me.


That the Lord may confirm his words, which he hath spoken of me, saying: If thy children shall take heed to their ways, and shall walk before me in truth, with all their heart, and with all their soul, there shall not be taken away from thee a man on the throne of Israel.


6 Men withering away for fear, and expectation of what shall come upon the whole world. For the powers of heaven shall be moved;


For we brought nothing into this world: and certainly we can carry nothing out.


5 And he said to them: Take heed and beware of all covetousness; for a man's life doth not consist in the abundance of things which he possesseth.


4 And do ye all things without murmurings and hesitations;


AND there came to him the Pharisees and Sadduccees tempting: and they asked him to shew them a sign from heaven.


0 And the name of Saul's wife, was Achinoam the daughter of Achimaas; and the name of the captain of his army was Abner, the son of Ner, the cousin german of Saul.


1 And when we were fallen into a place where two seas met, they run the ship aground; and the forepart indeed, sticking fast, remained unmoveable: but the hinder part was broken with the violence of the sea.
