AND as they were speaking to the people, the priests, and the officer of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,


6 And Jesus being baptized, forthwith came out of the water: and lo, the heavens were opened to him: and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, and coming upon him.


6 And continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they took their meat with gladness and simplicity of heart;


4 But I have against thee a few things: because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat, and to commit fornication:


1 For she said within herself: If I shall touch only his garment, I shall be healed.


2 He that shall overcome, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God; and he shall go out no more; and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God, and my new name.


6 Be angry, and sin not. Let not the sun go down upon your anger.


For according to their power ( I bear them witness), and beyond their power, they were willing.


So desirous of you, we would gladly impart unto you not only the gospel of God, but also our own souls: because you were become most dear unto us.


But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency may be of the power of God, and not of us.


2 For whosoever have sinned without the law, shall perish without the law; and whosoever have sinned in the law, shall be judged by the law.


5 And Paul said: I am not mad, most excellent Festus, but I speak words of truth and soberness.


9 I know that, after my departure, ravening wolves will enter in among you, not sparing the flock.


And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, bringing in the name of the Lord Jesus; and he persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.


7 We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who themselves also will, by word of mouth, tell you the same things.


6 And they conversed there in the church a whole year; and they taught a great multitude, so that at Antioch the disciples were first named Christians.


3 And it came to pass, that he abode many days in Joppe, with one Simon a tanner.


3 And when many days were passed, the Jews consulted together to kill him.


8 I will arise, and will go to my father, and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee:


5 And he went and cleaved to one of the citizens of that country. And he sent him into his farm to feed swine.


3 And he laid his hands upon her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.


1 And behold there was a woman, who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years: and she was bowed together, neither could she look upwards at all.


4 And after those days, Elizabeth his wife conceived, and hid herself five months, saying:


0 For Herod feared John, knowing him to be a just and holy man: and kept him, and when he heard him, did many things: and he heard him willingly.


5 And much people followed him from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judea, and from beyond the Jordan.


0 For now the axe is laid to the root of the trees. Every tree therefore that doth not yield good fruit, shall be cut down, and cast into the fire.

4 Ephraim hath provoked me to wrath with his bitterness, and his blood shall come upon him, and his Lord will render his reproach unto him.

8 Phe. My eye hath run down with streams of water, for the destruction of the daughter of my people.


Blessed is the man that doth this, and the son of man that shall lay hold on this: that keepeth the sabbath from profaning it, that keepeth his hands from doing any evil.


he hath converted my soul. He hath led me on the paths of justice, for his own name's sake.


9 Give heed to me, O Lord, and hear the voice of my adversaries.


So Jeremias called Baruch the son of Nerias: and Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremias all the words of the Lord, which he spoke to him, upon the roll of a book.


7 Believest thou the prophets, O king Agrippa? I know that thou believest.
