1 Except it be for this one voice only that I cried, standing among them, Concerning the resurrection of the dead am I judged this day by you.


Having known me from the beginning (if they will give testimony) that according to the most sure sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.


8 But the whole multitude together cried out, saying: Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas:


0 And the chief priests and the scribes stood by, earnestly accusing him.


Because they have not understood the works of the Lord, and the operations of his hands: thou shalt destroy them, and shalt not build them up.


6 For the multitude of the people followed after, crying: Away with him.


8 I will give thanks to thee in a great church; I will praise thee in a strong people.


3 Were sent by the king's messengers to all provinces, to kill and destroy all the Jews, both young and old, little children, and women, in one day, that is, on the thirteenth of the twelfth month, which is called Adar, and to make a spoil of their goods.


0 For there have been powerful kings in Jerusalem, who hare had dominion over all the country that is beyond the river: and have received tribute, and toll and revenues.


And in vain do they worship me, teaching doctrines and commandments of men.


For this cause also, I, forbearing no longer, sent to know your faith: lest perhaps he that tempteth should have tempted you, and our labour should be made vain.
