We accept it always and in all places, most excellent Felix, with all thanksgiving.


9 Whom I found to be accused concerning questions of their law; but having nothing laid to his charge worthy of death or of bands.


2 The tribune therefore dismissed the young man, charging him that he should tell no man, that he had made known these things unto him.


0 Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy face, from the disturbance of men. Thou shalt protect them in thy tabernacle from the contradiction of tongues.


1 For if I have injured them, or have committed any thing worthy of death, I refuse not to die. But if there be none of these things whereof they accuse me, no man may deliver me to them: I appeal to Caesar.


How long shall the land mourn, and the herb of every field wither for the wickedness of them that dwell therein? The beasts and the birds are consumed: because they have said: He shall not see our last end.


2 For she in pouring this ointment upon my body, hath done it for my burial.


Now there were four lepers, at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another: What mean we to stay here till we die?


2 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise, by the faith of Jesus Christ, might be given to them that believe.


That our hope for you may be steadfast: knowing that as you are partakers of the sufferings, so shall you be also of the consolation.


And the angel of the Lord came again the second time, and touched him, and said to him: Arise, eat: for thou hast yet a great way to go.


9 And Jonathan said: My father hath troubled the land: you have seen yourselves that my eyes are enlightened, because I tasted a little of this honey:


3 And they came to the place that is called Golgotha, which is the place of Calvary.


And after they had consulted together, they bought with them the potter's field, to be a burying place for strangers.


4 And we cast lots among the priests, and the Levites, and the people for the offering of wood, that it might be brought into the house of our God by the houses of our fathers at set times, from year to year: to burn upon the altar of the Lord our God, as it is written in the law of Moses :


0 And Achan answered Josue, and said to him: Indeed I have sinned against the Lord the God of Israel, and thus and thus have I done.


There went up therefore three thou- sand fighting men: who immediately turned their backs,


4 These are the precepts which the Lord commanded Moses for the children of Israel in mount Sinai.


But Josue rent his garments, and fell flat on the ground before the ark of the Lord until the evening, both he and all the ancients of Israel: and they put dust upon their heads.


9 And said one to another: Behold the dreamer cometh.


Thou hast said: Woe is me, wretch that I am, for the Lord hath added sorrow to my sorrow: I am wearied with my groans, and I find no rest.


1 Now the church had peace throughout all Judea, and Galilee, and Samaria; and was edified, walking in the fear of the Lord, and was filled with the consolation of the Holy Ghost.


2 And it came to pass that Peter, as he passed through, visiting all, came to the saints who dwelt at Lydda.


1 But do not thou give credit to them; for there lie in wait for him more than forty men of them, who have bound themselves by oath neither to eat, nor to drink, till they have killed him: and they are now ready, looking for a promise from thee.


I know a man in Christ above fourteen years ago (whether in the body, I know not, or out of the body, I know not; God knoweth), such a one caught up to the third heaven.


For this cause also, I, forbearing no longer, sent to know your faith: lest perhaps he that tempteth should have tempted you, and our labour should be made vain.


And when they were saying this often, and he would not hearken to them; they told Aman, desirous to know whether he would continue in his resolution: for he had told them that he was a Jew.
