MEN, brethren, and fathers, hear ye the account which I now give unto you.


1 Therefore watch, keeping in memory, that for three years I ceased not, with tears to admonish every one of you night and day.


6 But the king said to him: I adjure thee again and again, that thou tell me nothing but that which is true in the name of the Lord.


1 Who through him are faithful in God, who raised him up from the dead, and hath given him glory, that your faith and hope might be in God.


By faith Abel offered to God a sacrifice exceeding that of Cain, by which he obtained a testimony that he was just, God giving testimony to his gifts; and by it he being dead yet speaketh.


6 For some who heard did provoke: but not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.

Paul making answer for himself: Neither against the law of the Jews, nor against the temple, nor against Caesar, have I offended in any thing.


Then Paul said to him: God shall strike thee, thou whited wall. For sittest thou to judge me according to the law, and contrary to the law commandest me to be struck?


4 And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, one that worshipped God, did hear: whose heart the Lord opened to attend to those things which were said by Paul.


0 Said: O full of all guile, and of all deceit, child of the devil, enemy of all justice, thou ceasest not to pervert the right ways of the Lord.


4 But their laying in wait was made known to Saul. And they watched the gates also day and night, that they might kill him.


But I am the Lord thy God from the land of Egypt: and thou shalt know no God but me, and there is no saviour beside me.


My heart failed, darkness amazed me: Babylon my beloved is become a wonder to me.


And I will feed them with the flesh of their sons, and with the flesh of their daughters: and they shall eat every one the flesh of his friend in the siege, and in the distress wherewith their enemies, and they that seek their lives shall straiten them.


That the word might be fulfilled which he said: Of them whom thou hast given me, I have not lost any one.


7 And Philip said: If thou believest with all thy heart, thou mayest. And he answering, said: I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.


2 Which when we had heard, both we and they that were of that place, desired him that he would not go up to Jerusalem.


0 For therefore we labor and are reviled, because we hope in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, especially of the faithful.
