9 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.


5 Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, eat; asking no question for conscience' sake.


AND when it came to pass that, being parted from them, we set sail, we came with a straight course to Coos, and the day following to Rhodes, and from thence to Patara.


And taking him by the right hand, he lifted him up, and forthwith his feet and soles received strength.


Simon Peter saith to them: I go a fishing. They say to him: We also come with thee. And they went forth, and entered into the ship: and that night they caught nothing.


7 For which is greater, he that sitteth at table, or he that serveth? Is it not he that sitteth at table? But I am in the midst of you, as he that serveth:


And thou didst find his heart faithful before thee: and thou madest a covenant with him, to give him the land of the Chanaanite, of the Hethite, and of the Amorrhite, and of the Pherezite, and of the Jebusite, and of the Gergezite, to give it to his seed: and thou hast fulfilled thy words, because thou art just.


And they read in the book of the law of God distinctly and plainly to be understood: and they understood when it was read.

7 And these signs shall follow them that believe: In my name they shall cast out devils: they shall speak with new tongues.


8 And this she did many days. But Paul being grieved, turned, and said to the spirit: I command thee, in the name of Jesus Christ, to go out from her. And he went out the same hour.


3 But we, going aboard the ship, sailed to Assos, being there to take in Paul; for so he had appointed, himself purposing to travel by land.
