4 The tribune commanded him to be brought into the castle, and that he should be scourged and tortured: to know for what cause they did so cry out against him.


That thou mayest know the verity of those words in which thou hast been instructed.


0 Keep thy money to thyself, to perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.


The same was in the beginning with God.


But before all things have a constant mutual charity among yourselves: for charity covereth a multitude of sins.


And I said: Not so, Lord; for nothing common or unclean hath ever entered into my mouth.


AND as they were speaking to the people, the priests, and the officer of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,


1 So do you also reckon, that you are dead to sin, but alive unto God, in Christ Jesus our Lord.


5 And much people followed him from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judea, and from beyond the Jordan.


0 For now the axe is laid to the root of the trees. Every tree therefore that doth not yield good fruit, shall be cut down, and cast into the fire.


And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, bringing in the name of the Lord Jesus; and he persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.


9 I know that, after my departure, ravening wolves will enter in among you, not sparing the flock.


8 And Agrippa said to Paul: In a little thou persuadest me to become a Christian.


And he preached, saying: There cometh after me one mightier than I, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and loose.


6 For the king knoweth of these things, to whom also I speak with confidence. For I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him. For neither was any of these things done in a corner.


4 And let our men also learn to excel in good works for necessary uses: that they be not unfruitful.


3 And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,


3 And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the gaoler to keep them diligently.


8 And he was returning, sitting in this chariot, and reading Isaias the prophet.


9 But if it be of God, you cannot overthrow it, lest perhaps you be found even to fight against God. And they consented to him.


And it shall come to pass in that day, that the prophets shall be confounded, every one by his own vision, when he shall prophesy, neither shall they be clad with a garment of sackcloth, to deceive :


Who are these, that fly as clouds, and as doves to their windows?


At the voice of the angel the people fled, and at the lifting up thyself the nations are scattered.


And the threshold of the gate by the porch of the gate within, was one reed.


All the flocks of Cedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nabaioth shall minister to thee: they shall be offered upon my acceptable altar, and I will glorify the house of my majesty.


4 But John stayed him, saying: I ought to be baptized by thee, and comest thou to me?


8 And many other things exhorting, did he preach to the people.


Saying: Why didst thou go in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them?


6 Then Paul and Barnabas said boldly: To you it behoved us first to speak the word of God: but because you reject it, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold we turn to the Gentiles.


6 Cease not to give thanks for you, making commemoration of you in my prayers,
