For a bishop must be without crime, as the steward of God: not proud, not subject to anger, not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre:


That in all things you are made rich in him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;


7 For you have brought hither these men, who are neither guilty of sacrilege, nor of blasphemy against your goddess.


8 And many of them that believed, came confessing and declaring their deeds.


3 Saying: This man persuadeth men to worship God contrary to the law.


1 And sailing from Troas, we came with a straight course to Samothracia, and the day following to Neapolis;


And a vision was shewed to Paul in the night, which was a man of Macedonia standing and beseeching him, and saying: Pass over into Macedonia, and help us.


3 Now when Paul and they that were with him had sailed from Paphos, they came to Perge in Pamphylia. And John departing from them, returned to Jerusalem.


Whereas we might have been burdensome to you, as the apostles of Christ: but we became little ones in the midst of you, as if a nurse should cherish her children:


0 And herein I give my advice; for this is profitable for you, who have begun not only to do, but also to be willing, a year ago.


But I determined this with myself, not to come to you again in sorrow.


And a certain young man named Eutychus, sitting on the window, being oppressed with a deep sleep, (as Paul was long preaching,) by occasion of his sleep fell from the third loft down, and was taken up dead.


8 Seeing that many glory according to the flesh, I will glory also.


Not that we are sufficient to think any thing of ourselves, as of ourselves: but our sufficiency is from God.


9 And the whole city was filled with confusion; and having caught Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul's companions, they rushed with one accord into the theatre.


And finding disciples, we tarried there seven days: who said to Paul through the Spirit, that he should not go up to Jerusalem.


Lest, when the Macedonians shall come with me, and find you unprepared, we (not to say ye) should be ashamed in this matter.
