5 Their possessions and goods they sold, and divided them to all, according as every one had need.


8 And saw him saying unto me: Make haste, and get thee quickly out of Jerusalem; because they will not receive thy testimony concerning me.


3 And when they had ordained to them priests in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, in whom they believed.


8 And many other things exhorting, did he preach to the people.


6 And Jesus being baptized, forthwith came out of the water: and lo, the heavens were opened to him: and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, and coming upon him.


For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity: your lips have spoken lies, and your tongue uttereth iniquity.


2 Seest thou, that faith did co-operate with his works; and by works faith was made perfect?


2 And they preached the word of the Lord to him and to all that were in his house.


5 And at midnight, Paul and Silas praying, praised God. And they that were in prison, heard them.


4 And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that invoke thy name.


To whom hast thou given counsel? perhaps to him that hath no wisdom, and thou hast shewn thy very great prudence.


5 Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but upon a candlestick, that it may shine to all that are in the house.


4 Then shalt thou be delighted in the Lord, and I will lift thee up above the high places of the earth, and will feed thee with the inheritance of Jacob thy father. For the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.
