6 Let the balance be just and the weights equal, the bushel just, and the sextary equal. I am the Lord your God, that brought you out of the land of Egypt.

For if any man think himself to be some thing, whereas he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.

7 That the man of God may be perfect, furnished to every good work.


6 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. And immediately all the doors were opened, and the bands of all were loosed.


1 And preach a fashion which it is not lawful for us to receive nor observe, being Romans.


Then he disguised himself: and put on other clothes, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night, and he said to her: Divine to me by thy divining spirit, and bring me up him whom I shall tell thee.


2 But these men, as irrational beasts, naturally tending to the snare and to destruction, blaspheming those things which they know not, shall perish in their corruption,


2 Now some cried one thing, some another. For the assembly was confused, and the greater part knew not for what cause they were come together.


1 If a man lie with his stepmother, and discover the nakedness of his father, let them both be put to death: their blood be upon them.


Neither shall they shave their head, nor their beard, nor make incisions in their flesh.


1 Because Manasses king of Juda hath done these most wicked abominations, beyond all that the Amorrhites did before him, and hath made Juda also to sin with his filthy doings:


7 And the keeper of the prison, awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the doors of the prison open, drawing his sword, would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.
