4 And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, one that worshipped God, did hear: whose heart the Lord opened to attend to those things which were said by Paul.


0 But the Jews stirred up religious and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas: and cast them out of their coasts.


0 Then Jesus lifting up himself, said to her: Woman, where are they that accused thee? Hath no man condemned thee?


8 He said therefore: To what is the kingdom of God like, and whereunto shall I resemble it?


It seemed good to me also, having diligently attained to all things from the beginning, to write to thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,


0 And his disciples came and said to him: Why speakest thou to them in parables?


8 And he was with them coming in and going out in Jerusalem, and dealing confidently in the name of the Lord.


4 Who having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.
