AND at the same time, Herod the king stretched forth his hands, to afflict some of the church.


And when Paul and Barnabas had no small contest with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain others of the other side, should go up to the apostles and priests to Jerusalem about this question.


Dearly beloved, thou dost faithfully whatever thou dost for the brethren, and that for strangers,


8 Pray for us. For we trust we have a good conscience, being willing to behave ourselves well in all things.


4 And to Jesus the mediator of the new testament, and to the sprinkling of blood which speaketh better than that of Abel.


Beware lest any man cheat you by philosophy, and vain deceit; according to the tradition of men, according to the elements of the world, and not according to Christ:


In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.


0 Now I rejoice in the Lord exceedingly, that now at length your thought for me hath flourished again, as you did also think; but you were busied.


Rejoice in the Lord always; again, I say, rejoice.


7 And coming, he preached peace to you that were afar off, and peace to them that were nigh.


0 I have confidence in you in the Lord: that you will not be of another mind: but he that troubleth you, shall bear the judgment, whosoever he be.


0 As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as needy, yet enriching many; as having nothing, and possessing all things.


0 For Christ therefore we are ambassadors, God as it were exhorting by us. For Christ, we beseech you, be reconciled to God.


4 If, by any means, I may provoke to emulation them who are my flesh, and may save some of them.


Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall live also together with Christ:


0 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son; much more, being reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.


WHAT shall we say then that Abraham hath found, who is our father according to the flesh.


And Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord, with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing, believed, and were baptized.


2 And many indeed of them believed, and of honourable women that were Gentiles, and of men not a few.


2 And the people ran together against them; and the magistrates rending off their clothes, commanded them to be beaten with rods.


1 And when the multitudes had seen what Paul had done, they lifted up their voice in the Lycaonian tongue, saying: The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men;


And this is the declaration which we have heard from him, and declare unto you: That God is light, and in him there is no darkness.


And in godliness, love of brotherhood; and in love of brotherhood, charity.


3 For you, brethren, have been called unto liberty: only make not liberty an occasion to the flesh, but by charity of the spirit serve one another.


1 Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, without prohibition.


5 Neither is he served with men's hands, as though he needed any thing; seeing it is he who giveth to all life, and breath, and all things:


They understanding it, fled to Lystra, and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and to the whole country round about,


3 And they set up false witnesses, who said: This man ceaseth not to speak words against the holy place and the law.


8 And upon my servants indeed, and upon my handmaids will I pour out in those days of my spirit, and they shall prophesy.


3 Woe to you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites; because you tithe mint, and anise, and cummin, and have left the weightier things of the law; judgment, and mercy, and faith. These things you ought to have done, and not to leave those undone.


He that commmitteth sin is of the devil: for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose, the Son of God appeared, that he might destroy the works of the devil.


Not by the works of justice, which we have done, but according to his mercy, he saved us, by the laver of regeneration, and renovation of the Holy Ghost;


5 But if they be questions of word and names, and of your law, look you to it: I will not be judge of such things.
