1 And they were attentive to him, because, for a long time, he had bewitched them with his magical practices.


6 Then went the officer with the ministers, and brought them without violence; for they feared the people, lest they should be stoned.


1 Then the Jews, (because it was the parasceve,) that the bodies might not remain on the cross on the sabbath day, (for that was a great sabbath day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.


5 Samech. Thou hast made me as an outcast, and refuse in the midst of the people.


But if the number be less than may suffice to eat the lamb, he shall take unto him his neighbour that joineth to his house, according to the number of souls which may be enough to eat the lamb.
