3 And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the gaoler to keep them diligently.


0 And Cornelius said: Four days ago, unto this hour, I was praying in my house, at the ninth hour, and behold a man stood before me in white apparel, and said:


4 But Peter said: Far be it from me; for I never did eat any thing that is common and unclean.


0 And being hungry, he was desirous to taste somewhat. And as they were preparing, there came upon him an ecstasy of mind.


7 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord increased daily together such as should be saved.


But the other disciples came in the ship, (for they were not far from the land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes.


And I will establish my covenant between me and thee, and between thy sad after thee in their generations, by a perpetual covenant: to be a God to thee, and to thy seed after thee.


Peter saith to him: Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him: If I wash thee not, thou shalt have no part with me.


1 Now he meant Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon: for this same was about to betray him, whereas he was one of the twelve.


The infirm man answered him: Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pond. For whilst I am coming, another goeth down before me.


8 And the second came, saying: Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.


That thou mayest know the verity of those words in which thou hast been instructed.


Cry to me and I will hear thee: and I will shew thee great things, and sure things which thou knowest not.


4 It is nought, it is nought, saith every buyer: and when he is gone away, then he will boast.


He hath distributed, he hath given to the poor: his justice remaineth for ever and ever: his horn shall be exalted in glory.


and art clothed with light as with a garment. Who stretchest out the heaven like a pavilion:


9 For I know that he will command his children, and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord, and do judgment and justice: that for Abraham's sake the Lord may bring to effect all the things he hath spoken unto him.


5 For the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.


6 And he drove them from the judgment seat.


Saying: Why didst thou go in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them?


For neither did his brethren believe in him.


1 And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believing, were converted to the Lord.
