7 But I chastise my body, and bring it into subjection: lest perhaps, when I have preached to others, I myself should become a castaway.


4 But their laying in wait was made known to Saul. And they watched the gates also day and night, that they might kill him.


2 But when they had believed Philip preaching of the kingdom of God, in the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.


And the word of the Lord increased; and the number of the disciples was multiplied in Jerusalem exceedingly: a great multitude also of the priests obeyed the faith.


They will put you out of the synagogues: yea, the hour cometh, that whosoever killeth you, will think that he doth a service to God.


And when we had discovered Cyprus, leaving it on the left hand, we sailed into Syria, and came to Tyre: for there the ship was to unlade her burden.


And the days being expired, departing we went forward, they all bringing us on our way, with their wives and children, till we were out of the city: and we kneeled down on the shore, and we prayed.


8 And for the selfsame thing do you also rejoice, and congratulate with me.


Dearly beloved, taking all care to write unto you concerning your common salvation, I was under a necessity to write unto you: to beseech you to contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints.
